The sitting room

This was the one room in the whole Ricci manor that was not decorated in dark colors. Instead, this room was decorated with soft yellows, to take advantage of the light coming in through the huge windows that encased two of the walls. There were several cushy couches and chairs, a piano, and everything light and cheery.

It almost contradicted the Ricci personality.

The owl flew in with Niko's response, immediately going to his mother. Both of the Ricci's were sitting on their couch, whilst Bea and Alessandro enjoyed biscuits and tea across from them. They had been worried about Keeley, yet Bianca had managed to calm them down, and sent Niko after her.

Stupid little girl, she was much more trouble that it really was all worth, but nevertheless. It was good to keep up the presence they cared.

Bea immediately looked up from her teacup, and sat up straighter.

"Did he find her?" she asked. She didn't approve of the fact Keeley ran all over the place, only letting it pass by for a little bit because of all the family over there, as well as the fact that Alessandro wanted to let her have freedom. But she disappeared after her birthday, and for merlinssakes, she was only eleven! 'Andro stopped smoking the cigar for a moment, and then quietly reproached her.

"Bea dear, she hasn't even opened the letter yet. Relax."

Bia smiled softly at Bea and opened the letter quickly. She scanned it for a moment, and then banished it with a snap of her fingers.

"Oh, don't worry dear. Niko found her, she was running around with that little boy, the one she went to Scotland with. Seems their rather close. Right now, Niko promised to take them out for icecream, and he said he'd bring her back. The little boy had a surprise for Keeley's birthday, it seems." She smoothly lied, and then took another drink of her tea. It rather irked her that Niko hadn't found Keeley at all yet.

"See?" Andro said triumphantly. "There we go. She's just fine Bea, relax. If she wants to play with her friends, I honestly can't see why not!"

Bea rolled her eyes at Andro, before smiling at Bia. "Oh, your son is so nice. What other teenagers would look after little girls...he's wonderful."

Thomas looked over at Andro for a moment. Really, he disagreed. Nevertheless he sat there, puffing his cigar, and watching his wife. He knew her well enough to know that the calm way she was nonchalantly talking and drinking meant that she was annoyed, and he gathered that Niko hadn't found Keeley yet.

So they were just waiting. He tired of the little game they played, but all in all, its what his wife wanted. So its what she'd get.

He shrugged at Andro like, 'women, what can you do with them', and stayed quiet.

Bia nodded, "He is such a lovely boy, I'm very proud as to how he's growing up. So gentlemenly and kind." She loved her son. She just didn't like his conduct at the very moment.

Bea smiled. It was times like this when she didn't feel guilty about the deal she and Bia had made so many years ago. Keeley had indeed freaked, she didn't understand.

Bea hoped that Keels would forgive her, but she blamed herself for the way she kept on running away.

"Yes. You've done a great job raising him. What did his professors say again?" she asked, waiting for more praise of the boy.

Bia smiled. Oh, yes. She was indeed doing a brilliant job raising him. Just like his father. And dear Malius, he'd helped so much. Lovely man.

"His professors said he was quite the leader, excelling at everything, and was an unusually hard worker. I do say, thats my boy..."

Bea nodded. It did, it really did make her feel better when she knew the person she'd signed her daughter up for wasn't a troll [[oh, the irony...]].

"Brilliant. Simply brilliant. You know, Keeley loves skating...she won't pay much attention to school, she does just fine, but she's not driven there as much as she is in skating and soccer. She's very athletic." Bea smiled. "What is it do you think Nikolas would like to do? Follow his dad?"

Bia arched her eyebrows, as if that was interesting, and nodded. It'd be one of the things that she'd have to get out of the girl, as soon as she was in Bia's control.

"Oh yes, Nikolas is following in Thom's footsteps...business..." She could have laughed right then, business, really? But she kept her face regulated, and nodded again.

Bea nodded for a moment, and then merged into a different topic.

"Are you absolutely positive you're willing to take on Keeley while Andro and myself go on our anniversary cruise? Its such a long time, and she's just a little girl..." She was worried about that. "And I can always pull some fingers and get someone in the family taking care of her, but dear Lynx just got married, and Joy would rather dump her off somewhere, and Llians not quite responsible..."

Bia answered very, very quickly. Perhaps too quickly.

"Oh no dear, don't worry. Go off and have fun, you deserve it. Keladira will be quite fine with us, and Niko's excited to spend more time with her."

If she got cold feet...that wouldn't be a good thing...not at all...

Andro sighed. His wife was such a worrier. Finally he spoke up, to Thomas.

"I hear you've aquired some new thoroughbreds. Are they worth anything?" Nothing much about nothing, but business and such. He was tired of the women's idle chitchat.

Bea glanced at Andro and Thomas and smiled for a moment as she got up and moved closer to Bia.

"I do hope she doesn't give you much trouble, what with the floo and all that. Honestly, I'd block it if Andro didn't spoil her so much."

Thomas nodded and stood up, brushing off his jacket sleeves. "If you'll excuse us ladies, I do believe we'll take your absense."

At the barely acknowledged answer of such, Thomas and Alessandro left the room to see the befamed horses.

Bia smiled. "Men." she brushed off, before nodding, "You know, we can always regulate her times. We can keep her so busy with fun things, she'll not want to leave!" Ha. More like, they'd block the floo, and keep her so busy, she was too tired to try and figure it out.

Bea beamed.

"Bia, what would I do without you?" she asked fondly, setting down her teacup as she watched the guys walk out of the room.

Bia sighed, tragically.

"I do believe you'd be quite bored. ON the other hand, you'd might have just found someone to replace me." She smiled back at her friend, happy that her plan was coming alone just fine. Just a few more years of waiting, and it'd all pay off.

Of course, the little girl must be able to have heirs.

Bea shook her head. "Ah Bia, there is no one out there like you. Replace? They'd fall short." She nodded, and then picked up her teacup again.

"I do think I can't wait to have grandbabies. You and me, sitting out on the porch, watching the little girls and boys playing...be quite lovely, don't you think?"

Bianca nodded. "Yes, dear, but don't rush my youth away..." She laughed, easily, "I still don't have any wrinkles or grey hair..."

Bea laughed. "Pfft, like your hair and face would dare to grow grey and wrinkle!"

Bia laughed. "No, they would. Very daring, my features." OKay. that was the lamest conversation ever.

"So, where are you planning on stopping in at during your cruise?"
